Day 13: End Of The Run For The Stanley Cup

We are a family of Rangers fans. It's the only professional sports team that Shawn and I can both agree on, and he loves hockey, so it makes it easy to root for them. Even Ginger is a fan.

This hockey post-season has been super exciting for me because the Rangers eked out win after win to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals! Then, in a very depressing series of games, they proceeded to lose their first three games against the Los Angeles Kings. They pulled out an amazing Game 4 win to make it back to LA for Game 5 tonight -- Friday the 13th, a full moon and Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist's 666th game. Luck was against them, right? We were hoping for the best, but the Rangers suffered a heartbreaking loss with an expert shot on goal during the second sudden death overtime. It was an epic game. But, ultimately, a loss for our beloved blue shirts.

Welp, there's always next year. Until then, I will cheer myself up by watching this LA Kings fan eat it on the ice after the game. HA.
